Another story recently read in a book... :)
There was a beggar who sat outside a mandir everyday but would hardly get any money. One night when it was time for him to go, he picked up the chaddar and found he had got only one 1o paisa coin on it inspite of sitting there the whole day!!
He was feeling very low and thinking what he would answer his wife after returning home. On his way he saw a 'sharaab-khana'. Though he had lost all his hopes, he thought of sitting outside it and trying his luck. As soon as he sat there spreading his chaddar, a drunkard came out and stopped by him. He took out two 10 rupees notes and giving them to the beggar said, 'maaf karna bhai.. aaj itna hi hain.. kal aur doonga'.
Seeing this the beggar looked upto sky and said to God, 'Kya bhagwaan! Aap rehte kahi ho aur pata kahi aur ka dete ho!'

  3. This makes me recite these lines from "Madhushala" by Harivansh Rai Bachhan :)
