No matter what mood you are in, the city's monsoon is sure to get your spirits lifted :)
Last 2-3 days it felt as if every creature every plant every tree every bird is awaiting the arrival of their beloved.. The monsoon! :)
Yesterday I noticed an usual sight... A group of doves (some 15-20 of them) flying in circles in the sky. They were not very high up.. Unusually low I felt. And the way they were flying... continuously flapping their wings. It made me little curious,.. What are they up to? There didn't seem to be anything usual on the ground that they were circling.. no grains, no piece of meat.. absolutely nothing.. I returned to my desk wondering about them.
A couple of hours later on my juice break on the terrace I noticed them doing the same thing. This time they were joined by another smaller group of 10 or so doves circling in similar fashion few feet away from the original ones. And this puzzled me even more. :) And the continuous smooth movement of theirs made be believe they have been doing this relentlessly for last 2 hours.
And a few minutes later, there were rains... not heavy rains..a small drizzle .. and the flapping of the wings got even more faster.. probably expressing their joy :) After few mins of getting their wings wet in the rain, these birds disappeared into the thin air.. (err.. in the sky! :))
And the mystery was solved... they were inviting the rain gods with their rhythmic circular dance for almost 2 hours ... :) :)
